몇년전만해도 자주 오르던 수암봉이지만 오랜만에 와보니 감회가 새롭다. 9월 6일 중국 황산 갈 팀들이 모여 미팅 겸 수암봉을 오르자 하여 9시 30분에 주차장에서 만나 숲속길로 오른다. 수암봉길을 헌히 잘 아시는 분의 안내로 가파르지 않고 햇빛을 피하며 그늘 속으로만 안내를 해 주시어 토산길을 타박타박 올라 가는데 조금 습한 곳에 물봉선하고 이질풀꽃이 풀숲에서 고운빛의 고개를 내밀고 있다.
수암봉 300미터를 남겨 놓고 갈림길에서 어차피 나왔으니 수리산 태을봉까지 가잔다. 한 분은 바빠 수암봉으로 가고 우리는 풀들이 한 키나 되는 길을 따라 넘고 넘어가니 멀리 산본의 아파트도 보인다. 정재 초등교에서 수암봉, 태을봉으로 금정역까지 가파르고 험한 산행을 해 보았지만 이렇게 길이 원만한 코스는 처음이다.
작은 산이어서 그렇게 절경은 아니더라도 그나마 숲속길로만 다니니 더욱 촬영할 것이 없다. 3시간 정도 산행을 했을까...태을봉이 보이는 밑에서 점심을 먹곤 바로 직진하여 약수터와 산림욕장을 지나 수암봉으로 올라왔던 주차장으로 하산을 하기로 하고 오는데 마음이 너무 여유로웠나 가파른 계단과 오르막길이 어찌나 숨이 차든지.... 산행을 하면서 늘 생각 하지만 계절과 같이, 또한 우리 살아가는 인생여정의 희로애락과 비교를 많이한다. 여름날 고통스러워 하며 깔닥 고개를 넘으며, 추운 겨울날 따사로운 햇살을 받으며 능선을 지날 때, 가을날 오솔길 같은 토산의 산허리를 사색하며 걸을 때, 봄빛 고운날 야생화의 풀숲을 바라볼 때, 정상에서의 쾌감과 땀을 식혀주는 침묵의 바람, 난 과연 무엇으로 세상에 머무는 것인가에 골몰해지기도 한다.
산림욕장에 들어서 올라 오는데 길가에 작은 노란 망태버섯 3개가 다 시들어 간다. 작년 8월인가 푸른집 정기산행 무갑산에서 본 망태버섯은 싱싱하니 탐스러웠던 기억이 난다. 접사렌즈도 없어 콤팩트 카메라로 담았는데 오전에만 왔어도 그 멋진 모습을 담을 수 있었겠지 아쉬움이 크다. 수암봉에 도착해 있으니 산악회원들 두팀을 만났다. 역시 뜻밖에 만남의 반가움이 새롭고 산을 좋아하는 사람들은 이렇게 산에서 우연히 만나게 된다. 시간상으론 5시간 산행을 했지만 장거리 이동 시간이 없으니 오후 3시도 한참을 기다려야 했다.
